The Awkward Welcome

So, I decided to start this blog kind of on the fly. For the record, this is the first blog I've ever done, and can't say I have a whole lot of experience behind exactly what I'm supposed to do. Anybody stupid enough to read this should probably expect a lot of rants about stupid things. Basically this is somewhere I plan on just keeping track of life as it happens.

I guess I'll get started. First order of business is to just quickly congratulate the entire Carleton Community and Sprott Team on the Relay for Life last night. It was long and there were times I felt like my legs were going to fall off, but I think it was well worth it. I finally went out and bought some A535 a few hours ago and hopefully my sleeping schedule will be back on track within a few days. Overall the event was a success, and I'm glad I was a part of it (Babcia, you were with me the whole way). I look forward to taking part again next year and in years to come.

On the far side, (which is going to be my blogging catch-phrase for "on a completely different note." Yea... I have a catch phrase) I have become extremely frusterated with my housing search for next year. Understanding that I don't know where I will be going in terms of my schooling next year, I was still hoping to find something in Ottawa, as it makes more and more sense to stay here for one more year, and then transfer out. However, it seems that everyplace we have been interested in, we just have no luck. There is always somebody to pick up the house right before us. We have one more showing on Monday, and I've decided that if this place doesn't work out, I will stay in residence again next year (assuming I get a room).

I don't know how long entries on blogs are normally. This feels like an essay to me already. So I'll cut it off here and talk to you guys (being whoever will actually take the time to follow) soon.
